Private Functions

From birthday celebrations, to awards evenings. Christmas parties to vowel renewals, The Red Barn has been hosting special events for over a decade.

The Red Barn can comfortably cater for up to 140 guests for a sit down meal, with walk and fork options available for larger groups.

Additional Information

Our venue hire includes the services of our in-house conference planner, on-site hospitality manager, catering team, décor hire range and a full set up and pack down service.

We can arrange a variety of bespoke team building activities, from butter churning, to farm tours, even milking a cow the old-fashioned way!

Both venues offer breakout rooms, various seating configurations, Wi-Fi and visual equipment.

The Red Barn

Originally built around the turn of the century, The Red Barn was a livery stable, where stagecoaches would stop to swap horses for their journeys across the greater Waikato. The Red Barn has undergone multiple renovations since and today is the Waikato’s leading wedding venue.

The Red Barn features a large dining room that can host up to 140 guests in comfort, booth seating and an upstairs break away area.

The Shed

A recent addition to The Red Barn’s offering, ‘The Shed’ has been used for many years to rear calves in. More recently, it has been lovingly transformed into an authentic function space, radiating rural charm.

The Shed can seat up to 60 guests using our existing furniture. Should you require additional seating, this can be hired locally.

Centrally located

A short 45-minute drive from Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua and just over 1.5 hours from Auckland's CBD.

With just a short drive, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and find yourself surrounded by stunning natural scenery, ready to host an unforgettable event.
