Our 60-minute guided tour will have you learning more about working dairy farms where Synlait, one of New Zealand’s largest dairy exporters, collects milk and exports it worldwide.

Farm Tour & Morning / Afternoon Tea

Embark on a unique journey at The Red Barn with our Farm Tour & Morning/Afternoon Tea. Discover the inner workings of a fully-functioning A2 dairy farm in the heart of Waikato, with a 35-minute tour led by our knowledgeable Tourism Manager, Dan. Learn about the New Zealand dairy industry, milk production, exports, animal welfare, and sustainable farming practices.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience offers an incredible insight into the industry and New Zealand’s contribution to the world’s dairy market. After the tour, indulge in a delicious morning/afternoon tea at The Red Barn, where you can savour the flavours of locally sourced, fresh and seasonal produce.

Farm Tour & Country Style Lunch

Experience the best of farm-to-table dining on our Farm Tour & Country Style Lunch at The Red Barn. Start with a 35-minute tour of our farm, where you will learn about the inner-workings of our 500-acre dairy farm.

After the farm tour, join us in The Red Barn for a mouthwatering three-course lunch. But before your meal, take part in our signature butter-making experience, where you'll work in teams to turn cream from our farm into delicious butter that you can enjoy on freshly baked bread rolls. It's a fun, interactive, and delicious experience that you won't want to miss.
