The Red Barn is centrally located in the heart of the Waikato, nestled in amongst a picturesque 500-acre Waikato dairy farm. Only a short 45-minute drive to Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua and just under 2 hours from Auckland’s CBD. A perfect location for one-day or multi-day events.

Private Functions at The Red Barn

The Red Barn has been delivering quality hospitality for functions, groups and weddings for over 10 years.

The Red Barn can cater for up to 140 guests requiring a sit-down breakfast, lunch or dinner, whether it be an elegant plated menu or vibrant buffet style meal.

Our professional and friendly staff will deliver excellent service and advice throughout your event from the moment you book to the execution on the day. 

The Red Barn is an ideal venue for those special celebrations whether it be a gala dinner, awards evening, seminar, Christmas party, school or club reunion, significant birthday, anniversary, renewal of vowels or a fabulous wedding!

The Shed

The Shed at the Red Barn is yours to use exclusively for your next business event or function. 

Disconnect...think…plan!! 

The Red Barn has recently added a new venue called ‘The Shed’. The Shed has been used for many years as the farms calf rearing facility. Recently it has been lovingly renovated to become an authentic, rustic yet modern meeting and function space.

‘The Shed’ is located on a secluded park-like setting giving your group exclusivity and total privacy. A place to disconnect, think and plan!!

Featuring hi-tech connectivity and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment on-site, makes for an easy venue choice when bringing your valued employees, teams and customers together under one roof.

The Shed is an ideal venue for your next company conference….strategy meeting….product launch….team building event….seminar….board meeting….sales conference or whatever you desire to use the space for, we can tailor to suit your requirements.

Capacity 

Currently a maximum of 60 delegates can be seated at any one time using our existing furniture. Should you require additional tables and seating this can be hired locally. A maximum of 120 delegates is possible.

Various configurations can be arranged to suit your requirements utilising our rustic yet modern wooden tables (rectangular) & chairs.

Catering and Beverage

Our professional on-site catering team can provide everything from a country-style breakfast, healthy morning & afternoon tea’s, a themed lunch or dinner through to a delicious supper and hot chocolate around the fireplace melting marshmallows on a skewer. 

A variety of menu choices are available. We can also create a bespoke menu to suit your theme and dietary requirements.

Please note: Catering for your event will be set-up over in the dining room at the Red Barn to give your delegates an alternative area to enjoy. Morning & afternoon tea can be served in the shed.

Break-out rooms 

A variety of breakout rooms are available throughout the venue, giving your delegates room to be creative and productive.

Team Building

With acres and acres of space on Rock Spring farm, our on-site conference team can arrange a variety of bespoke team building activities from butter churning, a farm tour on the back of a trailer to milking a cow the old-fashioned way. For more structured team building experiences, bring in a professional team building company who will create and facilitate a programme designed especially for your group.
